Kinder Baumgardner is managing principal of the Houston office of the SWA Group, a world leader in landscape architecture, planning, and urban design. His current work often finds him in the Middle East, Africa, and the Indian subcontinent, where he is called on to apply his expertise at synthesizing complex systems to help create new cities and urban precincts. Over the span of 20 years, Kinder has actively traveled the world seeking out regional flavors to create landscapes and urban spaces that are culturally resonant. Kinder has a bachelor’s degree in landscape architecture from Louisiana State University.
