Stefanie Kubanek

Stefanie Kubanek was until recently an associate partner at Pentagram, and left to found Kubanek Design. She has worked for clients such as Herman Miller, United Airlines, Coca Cola, Cargill and Benetton, among many others.

Stefanie Kubanek is a New York and London-based designer whose work is inspired by her native-German roots and cosmopolitan perspective. She received her master’s degree in Industrial Design from the Royal College of Art in London. A senior designer at Pentagram Design from 2000 to 2010, Stefanie became an associate partner of in 2008 and was part of a bi-continental team in London and New York. She has been working in variety of projects within international design teams in the US and Europe. She worked for clients such as Herman Miller, United Airlines, Coca Cola, Cargill and Benetton, among many others. In 2010 Stefanie launched Kubanek Design + to develop meaningful collaborations with clients who are devoted to the integration of design and business. For the past 8 years Stefanie has taught industrial design at Parsons The New School for Design as well as courses at Pratt Institute, Columbia University and the Free University in Bolzano, Italy. Stefanie is a juror since 2009 for Industrial Design Society of America IDSA/IDEA Design Awards and most recent was invited as a judge for the 2010 Australian International Design Awards.
