Eigen Huis & Intrieur is a leading Dutch magazine about architecture and interior design, so when it welcomes people into its own spaces, it needs to make a splash. For this year’s annual design fair at RAI Amsterdam, the magazine turned to i29 interior architects to design a pavilion that helps sum up what EH&I stands for. The completed structure reduced the concept of a house down to its essence, emphasizing lines, form, and function through the contrast of white and multi-colored surfaces, while display cases were hidden in plain sight thanks to the clever use of mirrors.
